A writer's first session with Muse should answer one question: does this tool help you write better, or does it just help you write more? An invite code gets you in for free — use it to test drafting, revising, and restructuring on your own work, not on a demo prompt. Redeem within 48 hours of joining: the redeem entry (Settings > Redeem token) is only available in that window, so copy a code from the wall first, then join, then redeem in the same session.
Copy the code, do not retype it. Codes are short strings of letters and digits, and a single transposed character produces an invalid-code error that looks like a dead code but is not. If a code genuinely fails, try the next one immediately — codes have limited uses and run out — and report the dead one on the wall so the next person does not waste time on it.
One honesty note up front: the reward for redeeming varies by account under Muse's own offer terms. This site never promises a specific amount of tokens or credits, and neither should any page you trust. Codes on this wall are user-submitted and not guaranteed valid.
Work on a real piece, in the order writers actually work:
Do not judge all three jobs by the same standard. For drafting, speed matters and you will rewrite anyway, so a rough draft is a win. For editing, precision matters: check every suggested change against your intent, and reject any edit that smooths away a deliberate choice of tone or rhythm. For brainstorming, novelty matters: ask for angles you have not tried, then throw most of them away — the value is the one angle you would not have reached alone, not the length of the list.
A code does not make you a better writer, and Muse does not know your readers, your publication's standards, or what you meant but did not write. Do not paste unpublished work, confidential sources, or anything you are not allowed to share into any AI assistant, and check your publication's or employer's policy before using it on commissioned work. Treat every suggestion as a draft from a stranger: useful, often good, sometimes confidently wrong — and always subject to your final read.
Judge Muse on one question: did your finished piece get better, or just longer? If the outline, the cut, or the revision of a weak section earned its place, the tool earns a place in your process. If it only produced fluent filler, you have learned that cheaply — which is exactly what a free invite code is for.
You have the plan for a first session; now you need a code that is still live. The wall below shows user-shared codes with copy buttons — take one, redeem it within your 48-hour window, and start on a real piece.
